Marcus Dupont
Senator Phone: (360)-546-9526 Location:(VFSC) 134 Email: aswsuv.senate@vancouver.wsu.edu
I am Marcus Dupont. I’ll be serving as your Senate Pro-Tempore for this year. It is my duty to ensure that students’ needs are met and I will not fall short of this goal. Three years ago I was a very shy, young man who was unsettled in the direction I was going. A six-month sabbatical in South Africa taught me an important lesson... that life is totes presh and not to take any day for granted. This revelation turned my life around. My major became decided (Business Administration), the Fitness Center Lead position was acquired, and the social butterfly in me was released. When not schooling or working, you can find me in the gym as part of my G.T.L. routine, or shredding the gnar at Timberline. I really am a nice person, so talk to me when you see me on campus. Yolo.

Matt Waditza
Senator Phone: (360)-546-9526 Location:(VFSC) 134 Email: aswsuv.senate@vancouver.wsu.edu
I studied at Oregon State University for 2 years before coming back to my home state and attending WSUV. I am currently pursuing a degree in Psychology with a possible minor in addictive studies. My interest and activities range from longboarding, soccer, and racquetball to playing computer games, making sushi, and sketching. I currently work at Vancouver Pizza in downtown Vancouver. At OSU I was heavily involved in their student body and Government Affairs Team. I lobbied in Washington DC for lower textbook costs, accessibility for students, and several other issues. I also helped run a game of Humans Vs Zombies (if you don’t know what it is, come ask me during my office hours at osi!). I am really excited to help change the campus for the better and to mold it into the ideal of the students. If you have any ideas, please come talk me!

It is with great enthusiasm that I am your senator for ASWSUV. Representing the student body is not only an exceptional challenge, but also something I can help improve! My prior experience working as a Residential Advisor at the Pullman campus has prepared me to assist coordinating involvement events, helping students with the struggle of college life, becoming a compassionate listener and facilitating a safe environment for students to learn. Additionally, some of my hobbies include fishing, backpacking, snowboarding, soccer, and wakeboarding. I have a never-ending love for the outdoors and its breathtaking beauty.

Cera Thackeray
Senator Phone: (360)-546-9526 Location:(VFSC) 134 Email: aswsuv.senate@vancouver.wsu.edu
Hello! My name is Cera Thackeray and I’m a junior this year at WSUV. I am working towards a degree in Social Sciences with a primary focus in political science and a secondary focus in psychology. My dream after graduation is to work as a bioethicist for the government. I love to read and write but I also love to fish and go hiking. Fishing is one of my all-time favorite things. I have been going with my dad ever since I was little. Ironically, I think that it fostered a love and fascination for animals that doesn’t seem to stop growing. I currently have two horses, a dog, and two cats. If I had my way, though, I’d probably have a lot more than that. I have never been a part of student government before but so far it has been a wonderful experience. This year, I hope to focus on providing more resources to students and searching for ways to lower the cost of tuition, services, and supplies for students. I enjoy hearing from other students so please, if you have any ideas or concerns that you would like to share with the senate, please let me know.
